The Timesheet module was developed to set the time of the project and a project task. The timesheet allows the user to track the time that has been assigned to the project and its specific tasks. Using this module the employees can record the time on a weekly basis against the task on which they are working. Also, the matrix sheet will allow the user to keep daily time records of the decided work per week.
The requirement was to create a timesheet record to include details like timesheet name, actual hours, date, category, status, etc from where the employees can track their working status weekly, which helps to keep a track on the project tasks that they have to work on.
In the timesheet the user will enter the name of timesheet, select related project tasks, actual hrs. Invested etc. Then the user will see the created record in the timesheet list. Doing this, the employee will be able to track their time on the weekly basis against the project tasks they are working on.
The product helped to create a bulk record and collect the time of the employee that he has spent on the project task or project
The challenge for the team was to create the plugin which will store the bulk record and manage the time of the employee spent on the project and allow them to track their time on the weekly basis against the project tasks they are working on. Another challenge wast to record time on the daily basis per week. This needed to be an adaptive process..
Creating bulk Record is Not Possible so we have found the solution in Timesheet Plugin i.e Matrix Timesheet. It’s been a way to collect employees’ time in order to pay them correctly for the hours that they worked. Time-consuming to collect the time manually and calculate out the total hours worked by each employee for each day they worked. Reading off of a paper timesheet requires manual time entry into Excel or into a payroll system which makes this even worse. Also prone to error because it could be difficult to distinguish time data from employees that handwrite their time. This causes an error in transcribing the data which results in employees not being paid correctly and corrections needing to be done after the fact. Another issue with manual timesheets is the ability for employees to buddy punch each other. There is no employee verification. One employee can enter someone else’s time and nobody would know. Hence, timesheet plugin is a better alternative, which is a feasible and faster solution to manual timesheets.
1)Employees can track their time on the weekly basis against the project tasks they are working on. 2)Matrix timesheet allows user to record time on the daily basis per week.
Client was satisfied because he was able to get an accountability of his and his employess's time being spent on particular task or project. This enabled performance tracking of employee and accountability of the progress of the project.
